I learned about Biliteracy Seal and would like very much to see this in Alabama. I also gained knowledge of numerous strategies and fun effective activities for my English Learners. Also, I enjoyed seeing and spending time with others sharing a passion for advocacy of EL students. This conference gets better with each year. It’s a wonderful way to find out how other school systems handle ESL programs and best approaches to convince classroom teachers, administrators, and community members the importance of acknowledging English Learners as students coming to us with gifts not a deficit. It is always a wonderful experience and I’m so excited to share the wealth of ideas I learned at AMTESOL. Plus, love campus of Auburn University! It is so clean, safe, easy to get around, and very welcoming!
