Austin Job Fair

I was disappointed with the offerings frim the companies with the job fair that Eventbrite organized. I have attent 3 months of envents at this location and each one was unusually small. July's turnout of 4 employers, one of which setup a table but never showed up. The companies are primarily searching for entry level positions with pay ranges up to about $15 an hour. There were less than 2 at each event that were able to discuss positions of skilled labor or highly educated or mid to senior level management positions. A professional job fair should contain majority skilled positions what you find here. If you are willing to take a chance on a single possibility of one company offering a living wage then make the trip. I feel my time is more productive with other sources.

I didn't find this event very helpful. All of the companies attending were either insurance companies or Universities; for a professional who is looking for a job in technology companies that wasn't helpful.I considered that was a waste of my time.

The amount of people that attended was not the amount told to me.
