"Building Resilience in Seniors’ Mental Health in Canada."
Resilience is the result of successful adaptation to adversity. The aging process can bring many changes and losses. This conference hopes to highlight resilience as it relates to coping, recovery, growth and sustained vitality. It is through these processes we derive meaning and a sense of purpose. This holds true for the geriatric population and those who care for them. The ASM will focus on the theme Building Resilience in Seniors’ Mental Health in Canada. The program has been developed with a focus on content that is relevant to physicians and all healthcare professionals with a wide selection of presentations to choose from. A highlight for this year will be a focus on psychotherapy with many sessions on this important topic. This year’s meeting will be held in Banff, Alberta - It’s the perfect setting to learn, share and network with our colleagues from across the country.
