Chemical Watch Regulatory Summit Europe

"Serving the regulatory community with regulatory updates on chemicals control from around the world"
Our Global Regulatory Summits are held annually in Europe, Asia and North America. The European and North American Summits are scheduled in October, and the Asia Summit is normally held in November. Chemical Watch Global Regulatory Summits have been held since 2013, serving the global regulatory community by offering annual updates on important developments in chemicals control legislation from around the world. The annual Summits bring together hundreds of participants and speakers from regulators and international organisations, as well as experts from industry and academia, together with the service provider community. The European Regulatory Summit is partnered with the Chemical Watch Enforcement Summit, which offers special perspectives and understanding of European and global regulatory enforcement challenges.

  • A range of speakers, including industry, regulators, NGOs and service providers.
  • The chance to ask your questions of the expert speakers.
  • A global overview of the latest developments affecting the chemicals management and control sector.

Mon, 14 Oct02:45 PM - 03:15 PMThe NGO response to United States EPA's implementation of the new TSCA Session
- Since the 2016 overhaul of the Toxic Substances Control Act (TSCA) NGOs have lodged cases in the U.S. courts challenging nearly every aspect of the Environmental Protection Agency’s (EPA’s) implementation of the new law.- The NGOs have had some successes and some losses in the courts.- This has caused EPA to change its procedures on some issues, to hold firm in others; yet a number of significant judgments are yet to be handed down.- The impact of NGO engagement parallels to some degree the involvement and impact of NGOs on REACH implementation.
