Chiefland Watermelon Festival

Enjoyed the day and how we were treated. Concerned from a safety standpoint that some folks throwing candy were just dropping it in the center of the street and the little kids were run out in front of motorized vehicles to get it. No parental supervision. One man stood with his toddler out in the center of the street. Please instruct folks to throw candy in the very edge of the parade and have the police do a better job keeping people out of the street.

Layout was good, location was good, everyone was courteous

My friend and I went and we went all over and could not find one watermelon in the whole town. It seems like it is just a local event we asked people around about where you would find watermelons and they just kind of laughed at us
