Campaigning For Real Ale or CAMRA is a nonprofit organization established in the year 1971 in St Albans England. The organization was founded by the initiative of four drinkers namely Bill Mellor Graham Lees Michael Hardman and Jim Makin who realized that the major beers companies of UK are providing the consumers with low flavored beers. The primary goal of the organization is to protect the rights of the consumers and improve the quality of the products. The National Chairman of CAMRA is Colin Valentine. The organization began as the Campaign for the Revitalisation of Ale which was altered to CAMRA in 1973. Significant events are organized by CAMRA to promote its cause. One of the flagship events of the organization is the Great British Beer Festival an annual event. The next edition of the event will take place in the month of August 2012.
