Research by midwives is now one of the most effective ways of supporting and promoting physiological birth worldwide. Benefits still need to be better presented to the public at a time when normal has been discredited and is no longer endorsed by younger demographics. Evidence on the compared merits of physiological birth and C section for long term women's salutogenesis needs to be made more visible.
