CMAI is the oldest and the most representative Association of the Garment Industry in India. With a membership of over 2500 manufacturers and 15000 retailers CMAI represents a wide cross section of Manufacturers Exporters and Retailers. The Association has branches in Pune/Solapur in Western Maharashtra and in Bangalore in Karnataka. Established 40 years ago The Clothing Manufacturers Association of India (CMAI) has been acting as a catalyst of change collaborating with the Government in matters of policy that impacts the future of the Apparel Industry. It has been making representations in matters of Excise Sales Tax Octroi Entry Tax etc. for the domestic sector and in matters relating to export policy procedures export quotas etc. for the export sector. The CMAI also acts as a guide for its members on meeting various Government regulations.

As I had taken little time from my other schedule. Problem was that you had food section separate and they didn’t allow entry either the visitors card. Instead they wanted me to go back to the main entry and get my card punched which I think was harsh. Unfortunately I could not eat anything and was without food for too long
