Coast-to-Coast Career Fair as Event Organizer

This job fair was much smaller than I had expected. The room was also too small and felt cramped. I am a professional administrative assistant - yet there wasn't one company looking to hire any type of office support staff... at all.It seemed like the only positions being recruited for were sales and warehouse workers. That was very disappointing since the job fair ad listed hundreds of occupations. I feel the ad was very misleading and I am very happy I did not pay to attend. However, I did end up spending $25 total to uber there and back. So - I guess I did indirectly pay to attend and it wasn't worth it. Sorry - but that's how I feel and you asked...

I liked there being more companies than the last few job fairs I've attended, but there needs to be more variety of companies. Most were only looking to fill sales positions. I did like that parking was only $6. Most other hotels are over $20.

I went to the Hilton Woodland Hills today, Wed. June 26th, 2019 as advertised on the website and found out no staff was there for the Job Fair event. I wasn't able to experience an incredible employment opportunity to stand out in person in a way that I might not on my resume. I would have appreciated an e-mail or text that the event was canceled, Thanks

Per the Manager that attended said****Only 10 employers and about 50 job seekers if that. He said that he didn’t get any interest for our retail positions. He talked to about 12 or so job seekers. None were interested. Half of the employers left at 1

More company’s. The company’s didn’t really offer interviews on the spot or direction to assist with finding a career. More company’s that are hiring for senior management

Need to have more companies and opportunities need to go beyond customer service, call centers, sales and warehouse positions. It would be nice to have marketing, communications, public relations and media relations positions available.

Usually with a job fair, there are many companies attending. one job fair had near 100 companies. This one looked odd because it was a mixture of industries. Be nice to have a job fair more focused on one industry
