Exotic Bird Mart & Expo, Inc.

When I attended this even last year, I felt it was over priced considering it had very few vendors. This year it was slightly larger, so that was nice. BUT, the majority of these vendors treated their animals (birds) poorly. I was blown away by the small cages crammed with birds, MANY of them didn't even have their tails anymore because of the cramped conditions. They also fed the animals a horrible diet. They appeared extremely stressed. Honestly, it was upsetting. I didn't buy anything, and left in about 15 minutes. I don't think I'll attend this event again. I've been to bird shows a lot over the last 35 years, and I've never seen such sad treatment of animals.

After traveling 350 miles to attend I was terribly disappointed in the quality of exhibitors and birds at the show. The quality was more akin to what I’d expect at a swap meet (which was going on at the same time at the Fairplex) and the distance from the parking lot to the exhibit hall was unacceptable. I arrived at 10:00 and the tram was not running. I won’t be coming back to Pomona, or any of your other shows because if Pomona isn’t a showcase of what you represent then what hope do the other venues have?

-Locating the entrance door to get to the event is not easy. Your website doesn't help. They should inform you which door the entrance is through.-I arrived at 2 pm and many exhibitors were already leaving.

This was my first time going to this event and I thought sellers will be true to the buyers if they ask. When we bought an English Budgies, we were told that they were 2018 hatched. Since we believed what they say so we didn't examine if the birds have bands. When we got home we noticed the birds while looking at them closely that they have bands and one is 2012 and the other is 2014. They are too old. So whoever goes to this event in the future be aware of the age of the birds and look if they have a band on their legs. I hate people not being honest doing that especially if you spend a lot of money on their birds. These birds are too old to breed.

This is the best, most organized venue I've ever attended. There was enough parking, which was a plus!! Nice displays outside in the shade. I wish there were more products to purchase (a better variety of nesting boxes, etc). Overall, it was a very pleasant experience!!

Purchased 2 birds, oneis sick and looks as if he is might die, he is an english budgie, $90 no way ti get in touch with the seller. should be mandatory that each seller provide contact information with each sale.

There were more parrots like cockatoos and African Grey's this year for sale.

It was a lot of fun. I brought home a little disabled dove, I knew know one would want it. But I deal with taking on birds that might have had a hard start to life. Gizmo which I gave him the name has already started to settle in.
