+The Federation of European Neuroscience Societies FENS is the representative body for a large number of European Neuroscience Societies and many monodisciplinary bodies. It was established in 1998 in Berlin. FENS has offices in Brussels and Athens as well. FENS was founded with the objectives of carrying forward research and education in neuroscience and collaborating in neuroscience research in the European Commission IBRO. FENS is the European counterpart of the American Society for Neuroscien ce. This organization is currently being steered by its President Prof. Dr. Sten Grillner. As a part of its activities this organization produces two series of scientific meetings known as the FENS Forums and the FENS Featured Regional Meetings. The FENS forum a biennial neuroscience conference is one of the most important events that are in the offing. Previous forums have been held in cities like Amsterdam Geneva and Vienna. Show Less
