There was a parking garage across the street, but it was too expensive. Could you arrange it so that people who were going to the Gem Show could get a discount on parking? I ended up parking 4 blocks away. Also, I wish there were more vendors (used to be more in past shows). I bought something from Glitters Import and I love them!
I attended this venue years ago, and it was very different from the show I attended recently. Way too many inexpensive products from China like hair accessories, scarves, etc... There were even t-shirt and sheet sellers! I was there for semi-precious and sterling silver beads. I bought from only 4 good sellers. The rest of the bead sellers had cheap, gaudy jewelry. Definitely not enough bead sellers. It is a gem and bead show, isn’t it? I was very disappointed. I’d like to try other locations, maybe they would have different sellers.
I've been coming to the shows for many years. Over the years it has become more about beads than gems and jewelry. I have however met many jewelers I like and look forward to seeing. I recently found a new jeweler Mikals Designs that has beautiful Larimar jewelry at affordable prices. I also went to a Gem an Mineral show in Raleigh North Carolina and loved it. They had many more gems like Amethyst in rock form and beautiful minerals as well as jewelry . I spoke to some of the vendors and some of them will be at the Massachusetts show !
I noticed that people could pay to get in, I am wondering how I assure I get wholesale pricing? I was never asked for my tax id if I am paying full price as the average person paying to come in I think you should have wristbands for owners and wholesale buyers
.My first time there. Not exactly what I expected. .The customers said the show had gone downhill because of all the imitation beads. .I was surprised at the light foot traffic..The customers said the fall show is better all the way around. I intend to participate in that and not this event next year..A vendor said he did really well at this event last year but terrible this year, and that he does well at the bead show and the fall show..That's all I know boss. :-)
This was not a good show. There were not a lot of vendors and not a good variety. I missed seeing a lot of the familiar faces. Guess internet is taking a huge bite out of your business. I've been a fan for decades. It's just not as good as it used to be. Sorry. I know how hard it is to make money.
You sent 2 passes to me. The guy at the door denied the second person entry.Definitely not 200 vendors. Too much of the same thing. How do I contact Intrinsic Jewelry, which then makes me ask why local vendors are not listed with that information.Did not like registration!! cannot delete that
My 5th time attending the Gem and Jewelry Show at the Dulles town center in Chantilly Virginia in August 2019. I am a jeweler and usually spend about 15 to 20 k in shows like this. But this time with total horror, I realized how this show, which I used to enjoy so much, is going down the garbage shoot each time. The vendors are getting more and more rude and uncouth. Some vendors from mainland China are unspeakably argumentative and in your face, doing all kind of tricks to cheat people blind. The entire environment seemed to me it was not monitored by any authority figure or group and felt like kind of a “LAWLESS - NO MANS LAND”. I was so sorry to see the deterioration of a great attempt to bring vendors and sellers together at a market place for easy trade. After my horrifying experience this time, this definitely will be my last time attending...for sure.
Me, my daughter, and granddaughter went. We bought tixs in line. We didn’t see where it said no kids under 9. No one ask her her age. Two people stamped her. We paid 20$ for tixs and 20$ to park. We were there 30 mins. Kylie was sitting on a chair next to us on her tablet . And a lady ask her how old and she said 7. Then she said to me. When you don’t coach them they tell the truth. She always tells the truth. The lady just called us all liars. I was so insulted. So rude so we were kick out. It didn’t stop there. When we leaving the lady that kick us out, the woman in charge of the event and the man that let us in we’re all talking bad about us like we did something wrong. So unprofessional.so rude. I will not be going back ever again. I go to these events often. If this woman is in charge I will not be attending any more. Such a horrible experience.
