The first trade fair was held in the summer of 1920 in a field next to St Johns Church in Helsinki. This great festival was attended by more than 120000 visitors and 1000 exhibitors. It marked the beginning of the Finnish Fair Corporations success story a story that has continued for almost 100 years.The Finnish Fair Corporations first dedicated premises were built in Helsinki’s Töölö district in 1935. When finished Messuhalli hall (now known as Kisahalli) on main road Mannerheimintie was the largest exhibition venue in the Nordic region.The present-day Messukeskus was completed in 1975 in the Pasila district. Since then its facilities and services have been upgraded in a number of ways.
