The New York Water Environment Association is a non-profit association that was established in 1929. It was founded by a group of professionals in the field of water quality. At present, the association consist of about 2500 members from all backgrounds and specialities. The mission is to serve the best interest of the common people by fostering the sustainable management of clean water quality through science, training and education. Steve Fangmann is the current president of this association. It organises events and conferences.
