Since its beginning in the year 1937, the Society for Investigative Dermatology has become the voice of the dermatology community. A premier professional body for the field of dermatology and all kinds of skin research, this organization boasts of more than 1700 members across the world. Running under the guidance of its current President, Dr. Kim Yancey, this US based organization, also known as SID, has its main office in Cleveland, Ohio. Representing a wide range of professionals in this field such as the practicing dermatologists, researchers, post doctoral fellows and clinicians, this organization releases an exclusive journal, the Journal of Investigative Dermatology for various areas in dermatology and cutaneous biology. Apart from this, SID also organizes its annual meeting for addressing all the necessary issues regarding this field.
