I personally followed Dr. Brown's advice when he said, Don't look at this weekend as professional development, treat this weekend as personal development! It made me feel more relaxed and let the focus be on How can I be the best version of myself, so that I can in turn help others? and so I have a ton of great nuggets from the conference from all of the speakers that I listened to. I will definitely be back next year!

I learned about how to help students be excited about school when you make it like a game. I also learned that music is so important to the way kids learn.

Christian Moore was excellent and also the attention session. Venue great. Music educators were also at a conference at the hotel and had a session about music with special needs kids. Wouldn't it have been great to coordinate a session with them?

It is always a good conference. I especially liked the luncheon speaker. The sessions were good as well. The inclusive college assistance session was very informative. I would like to get involved with that program through Metro.

The information on teen brains by Neil Clute was very engaging & gave some new ideas to contemplate.

All of the sessions I went to were very helpful. Sometimes it's frustrating not having a handout or copy of the powerpoint.

I was disappointed in the quality of information received. Last year was far better. I was particularly disappointed in the luncheon speaker on Dopamine. I expected more technical information about the brain and strategies not just personal stories.
