Read more connection between classroom design and learning outcomes is complex. We want the classroom to be a collaborative learning space, re-designing the space to allow students to be creative and achieve their full potential. This conference will provide delegates with common sense approaches to significantly improve learning by enhancing student engagement and wellbeing. We will open the conference by looking at the recent history of remote learning during COVID and what elements we could retain to continue to evolve the learning that occurs in our schools. We will then discuss what works with instructional video, and how & why teachers might make use of these elements in their teaching to move from direct instruction to guided and blended student-centric learning. Matt Fyfield has done the leg work and reviewed all of the studies from 1986-2019 that isolate the impact of differences in video design, and he is here to show you which principles work and which simply don’t produce outcomes.
