Update: Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, we are holding our scientific colloquium on “A coordinated approach to assess the human health risks .. Read more of micro- and nanoplastics in food" as an online event. Microplastics are small particles of plastic less than 5mm in size; nanoplastics are even smaller, ranging from 1 to 100 nanometres (N.B. Update: Scientific Colloquium 25 “A coordinated approach to assess the human health risks of micro- and nanoplastics in food,” 6-7 May 2021. Recently, international reports on microplastics and nanoplastics have been published, yet many of the food safety aspects remain unaddressed. We will hold an online e-poster and pitches session during the event. E-posters and pitches accepted will be published on a dedicated microsite. Authors of accepted posters and pitches will receive detailed technical guidelines on how to prepare and submit their e-poster and pitch.
