But what do these steps look like when it comes to Alternative and Augmentative Communication (AAC)? We will explore three simple steps, with different everyday activities, to help you and your child learn to use his/her device more effectively at home: choosing words, planning a question or comment, and modeling on the device. Join us for an interactive session to help you and your child step into AAC. For six of those years, she was a member of the augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) team for St. Paul Public Schools. Heather has a Certificate of Clinical Competence from the American Speech-Langauge-Hearing Association (ASHA) and has training with PECS, PODD, and a variety of speech-generating devices.
