At the direction of the Coordinating Board for Higher Education, the Missouri Department of Higher Education (MDHE) carries out the goals and .. Read more administrative responsibilities for the state system of higher education, which serves more than 360,000 students through 13 public four-year colleges and universities, 19 public two-year colleges, one public two-year technical college, 25 independent colleges and universities, and 152 proprietary schools. The annual convening is an opportunity to showcase the great work being done around the state to make the college experience more equitable, affordable, and accessible for all learners. The Missouri Department of Higher Education & Workforce Development hosted the Equity in Missouri Higher Education Summit on Oct. 30, 2019. The Summit featured the release of a report on the state of equity in Missouri higher education, presentations and breakout sessions related to equity in student access and progress.
