Due to the ongoing uncertainties over the current pandemic, we are planning for this year’s event to be an online discussion, while we continue to .. Read more watch how things unfold. The Junior Indaba, known for its straight-talking and frank discussions, will take a critical view of both the state of play in South Africa and the exploration and junior mining ‘hot spots’ in the rest of Africa. The impact of Covid-19 on the junior mining sector will be a key focus, and local and international experts will give their views on how the pandemic has impacted the industry as well as the latest political, economic and regulatory developments and what the future holds for junior mining and exploration projects. Panel discussions will focus on themes such as:  which commodities are “hot” this year; the demand and future role of coal in the African energy markets; the impact of 4IR and the transition to a low-carbon economy on junior miners; and how local and international investors view the risks and challenges of junior mining. We look forward to welcoming you back in 2020 and to expanding our footprint globally and welcoming new participants from around the world interested in junior mining and exploration in Africa. Strategic thinking and interactive conversation about the junior mining sector in Africa, with the intention of aiding the advancement and development of this sector. Junior mining executives and investors from South Africa and the rest of Africa including the developing mining economies of Botswana, the DRC, Zambia, Mozambique, Namibia, South Africa, Tanzania.
