Aromatic hydrocarbons covered by this scope include monocyclic and polycyclic carbon-ring structures recovered or synthesized form any source, and which are intended primarily for use as solvents or raw materials for chemical synthesis. Derivatives and related chemicals covered by this scope include chemicals such as: cycloalkanes such as cyclohexane which are intended primarily for use in chemical synthesis; phenols, arylthiols, and their homologs; heterocyclics such as pyridine and quinoline; and other chemicals synthesized from ring structures.
