AJ Robison from Michigan State University will discuss circuit-specific transcriptional mechanisms underlying behavioral responses to cocaine and stress in relation to mood disorders and drug addiction. Utilizing transgenic mouse models, viral vectors, behavior studies, electrophysiology, and sequencing, the presentation will highlight hippocampal neuron sex differences and cocaine-induced transcriptional changes in the nucleus accumbens circuit.
