Corporate Governance, Responsibility, and the Institutional Diversity of Capitalism: Towards a Global Dialogue 2024

Conference aims to bring together scholars from different disciplines and perspectives to explore theoretical and empirical aspects of corporate governance and the institutional diversity of capitalism across the Global North, Global South, and their implications for sustainability and social responsibility. We are particularly interested in contributions that use institutional theory and comparative capitalism literature to analyse how CG systems and practices are shaped by and interact with .. continue reading institutional environments in which they operate. We invite papers that advance understanding of the diversity and dynamics of capitalist systems and their implications for CG and responsibility; studies that challenge the ethnocentric bias and universalistic assumptions that often underlie organizational studies and CG research; papers that adopt a contextualized and comparative approach that recognizes richness and power of informal and non-market institutions in shaping local economic activity.
