Technical Meeting on the Safety Implications of the Use of Artificial Intelligence in Nuclear Power Plants 2023

The event aims to facilitate information exchange among Member States regarding the development and use of AI applications for NPPs, focusing on safety considerations. The IAEA plans to create a new publication based on the meeting outcomes. Professionals from various organizations and institutions involved in NPP safety and regulation, including international organizations, are encouraged to participate. Active involvement in the subject matter is required for maximum effectiveness. The event is open to representatives from all Member States with active nuclear power programs, including those in Phase 3. Recent experiences in AI applications for NPPs, particularly in terms of safety, will be discussed. Participants are responsible for their own travel and accommodation arrangements.
