Women in French Conference

The COVID-19 pandemic, conflict in Ukraine, climate change-related disasters, and economic strain highlight the precariousness of our lives. Women of color are disproportionately affected, as are refugees and those with marginalized identities. Women in French 2024 will explore how literature and culture depict the precarity of women's lives throughout history, examining factors such as war, environment, violence, class, race, disability, and more.
