The Society for Photographic Education (SPE) is a national non-profit organization dedicated to promoting a deeper understanding of photography and fostering its practice, teaching, scholarship, and analysis. SPE welcomes proposals that explore the evolving social, political, and technological aspects of photography and education. These proposals should embrace the diverse and

dynamic nature of the photographic arts, including immersive storytelling, interdisciplinary research, intersectional thinking, and experimental practices. SPE also encourages proposals that go beyond traditional sessions and involve audience participation through workshops, demonstrations, and seminars. Additionally, there is an opportunity for selected Imagemaker proposals to be paired for a Dialogic session where two artists give 20-minute talks. SPE also offers Professional Development/Career Mentorship sessions ranging from 40 to 90 minutes to assist members in advancing their careers or expanding their creative practices.
