CDS Conference

The Community Development Society (CDS), founded during a time of social change, is the oldest professional society in the field. Today, CDS is focused on social justice, solidarity, and equity in community change. To achieve this, they are revising their Principles of Good Practice, expanding their membership, changing their operations, and offering more to their members and the field. Community developers from various backgrounds navigate local challenges and seize local opportunities in different ways. The conference will feature academic paper presentations, program and project presentations, storytelling circles, and roundtables with activists, practitioners, and scholars.
