We aim to improve the mental health and well-being of children and youth through research and practical applications. This conference brings together experts who focus on mindfulness and self-compassion to enhance children's well-being by supporting adults in their lives. Our main research areas include the transmission of psychopathology and mindfulness for parents and children. We also aim to discuss the future of the field and how to translate current research into practical community care. While there has been extensive mindfulness research, there is a lack of measurement tools for children and families. Our goal is to create a Mindfulness Research Toolbox that is cost-effective, easy to administer, and captures various relevant aspects of mindfulness, mindful parenting, self-compassion, and well-being for individuals and families.
