Lectures in health-sciences education have long been accompanied by slides or images. However, research shows that learning through listening and looking alone is minimal. This blended workshop aims to teach educators how to design PowerPoint slides that enhance learning and engage the audience. The workshop consists of one hour of online self-study followed by a one-hour live session. Participants can earn 2.5 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™. By the end of the workshop, participants will be able to improve classroom learning by applying the Assertion-Evidence model to PowerPoint design, using interactive methods to engage learners, and evaluating effective educational presentations.
