Annual Conference on Mobility-as-a-Service (MaaS) in the US

The concept of Mobility-as-a-Service (MaaS) continues to be developed and deployed in the US to integrate all these different parts of the mobility chain that are today siloed off into separate funnels. This particularly includes integration of public transit with new mobility services including ride-sharing, car-sharing, ride-hailing, micro-mobility, bike-sharing and on-demand mobility services. As transit agencies try to win back riders, MaaS and similar new technology-based partnerships will prove essential to the way mobility is consumed in the future.

Excellent conference. My only recommendation would be to space the presentations out a bit more over the 2-day period. This would allow for more time to network and exchange information. Also, the extra time could be used to fill the 2nd day which seemed to end early at lunch. Otherwise, great work!

While the conference did provide many useful insights on advancing MaaS, it did also illustrate for transit agencies the impediments to implementing MaaS on a wide scale.
