Aquaculture Africa Conference and Exposition

The Aquaculture Africa conference organized by the World Aquaculture Society (WAS) will take place at the Mulungushi International Convention Centre (MICC) in Zambia. The conference will include visits to popular tourist attractions in Lusaka and Zambia, as well as excursions to fish farms, aquafeeds plants, fish markets, and aquaculture R&D centers. The AFRAQ technical program will focus on developmental issues and the latest research in African aquaculture. The conference will also feature an international trade exhibition, industry forums, student sessions, satellite workshops, and meetings on aquaculture development in Zambia and Africa. The theme of the conference is "resilient value chains in the blue economy," with a focus on lessons learned from Zambia's successful aquaculture industry despite challenges like the Covid-19 pandemic.
