Since the launch of the Challenge, the dementia diagnosis rate has risen above the initial target of 66.7% and more than 875,000 NHS staff have .. Still, there is a lot of work left to be done. 850,000 people in the UK live with dementia and by 2025 the government predicts that the number of people living with dementia in the UK will surpass 1 million. Join us to hear from leading experts on the latest dementia care provisions in the UK. Speakers will focus on a wide variety of topics including admiral nursing services, technology enabled care, and exercise programmes for patients living with dementia. On completion of the Bsc(Hons) Community Specialist Practitioner Qualification in 2002 at Manchester  University, I became a District Nursing Sister. Professor Alistair Burns, Professor of Old Age Psychiatry, University of Manchester, and National Clinical Director for Dementia and Older People’s Mental Health, NHS (invited).
