Read more to provide a space for members to share their experience of fostering safe organisations and building robust safeguarding policies, procedures and practice. The Working Group will facilitate conversation about strengthening capacity and practice in safeguarding and embedding a healthy organisational culture. The Funder Safeguarding Collaborative (FSC) is a new initiative which aims to promote greater collaboration and learning among funders to help strengthen organizational cultures and practices that keep people safe. The Collaborative commissioned Karen Walker-Simpson to conduct a short study to find out what we have learned about the role of funders in safeguarding and explore opportunities for greater collaboration and harmonisation of funder requirements. Drawing on evidence from an extensive literature review and feedback from funders, NGOs and sector experts across the globe, the research offers insights into 'what works' (and what doesn't!) and outlines opportunities for funders to work together to strengthen safeguarding in the future.
