In this session, Dominick Hoare will chart the progression of the marine and energy market over the last 18 months since his last IIL presentation on the ‘Ten Golden Rules for Successful Marine Underwriting’, and will focus specifically on what has changed, what has been successful, what has failed, and what still needs to be achieved. In his presentation, Dominick will cover the performance of the marine and energy market (the ‘market’) over recent years, the impact on the market of the remediation work initiated by Lloyd’s, the impact on the market of the ‘Future at Lloyd’s’ strategy, opportunities and problems ahead, Covid-19 and the global recession with reference to its impact on the market, and lessons learned.
