Tom Nardone was a Principal in NYC’s School District 2 at a time, under the leadership of Tony Alvarado, when they became a central player in a national shift in education. Tom was a resident fellow who helped write The Principles of Learning and his school was the subject of much study and observation. The school community worked on and refined standards of good work in all the major curriculum areas and they re-invented their classrooms. Tom had the unwavering support of his community of mentors, students, teachers and parents who refused to fail so they didn’t.
