Read more edition of Healthy Kitchens, Healthy Lives® as a virtual conference scheduled for February 3-5, 2021. One of the most powerful lessons of the COVID-19 pandemic is the extent to which underlying chronic conditions significantly increase the risk of patient mortality and morbidity—conditions caused or exacerbated by the poor food choices and unhealthy dietary and lifestyle patterns of too many of our fellow citizens. That lesson represents a challenge to all of us to double down on our collective efforts to bring nutrition science center stage in medical education, and make food and culinary literacy a vital part of patient counseling and healthcare more broadly. And this in turn inspires our commitment to bringing Healthy Kitchens, Healthy Lives to an ever wider audience online this year. The goal of Healthy Kitchens, Healthy Lives is to transform attendees into advocates and role models for healthy food and lifestyle choices.
