The Indiana State Department of Health (ISDH) will lead the first part of this webinar by discussing the opioid crisis, giving information about .. Read more naloxone and Indiana laws that govern naloxone. The ISDH will then provide training on how to recognize an overdose and administer naloxone. We'll wrap up by discussing the legal implications of a provider or agency acting in an emergency or life-threatening situation. We'll talk about the Indiana Good Samaritan laws, Out-of-Hospital do not resuscitate (DNR) orders, Hospital DNRs and the POST laws as well as expectations of various governmental agencies in relation to the provision of care in emergency situations.
