Sessions in this strand will focus on best practices in responding to the pandemic and in redesigning curriculum and program delivery. Participants will learn: how to use simulation to replace or enhance hands-on learning; how to support low-income and disenfranchised students who may not have access to technology to learn from a distance; how to embed occupational health and safety into all professional-technical programs; ways to build capacity in response to potential student demand in first responder and healthcare programs; changes to curriculum as a response to social distancing norms in programs heavy in customer service such as hospitality and tourism, retail, business administration, marketing, finance, and others; and ways to ensure student safety during work-based learning experiences.
