This Symposium will gather scientists experts in Reproductive Biology studies on fruit species, cultivated either in temperate or tropical and sub-tropical conditions. Reproductive biology is a thematic that covers key steps of the elaboration for fruit tree production, from floral induction, flower development, flowering phenology, pollination success and compatibility between cultivars to fruit set and dependencies between consecutive years of production leading to irregular bearing. We expect from this international meeting, high quality scientific exchanges and discussions on the latest results on physiological, molecular and genetic controls, environmental effects on the different phases of yield elaboration. Advances on agronomic and orchard management aiming to maintain regular cropping, pollination success and fruit set are also expected.
