In this talk, we will explore some of the more common medicinal plants found widely across North America and their folklore. Join Julia Zoltowsky in uncovering the amusing and interesting folklore of medicinal wild plants. Bio: Self-taught plant nerd and herbalist, professional horticulturist, permaculture practitioner and backyard farmer, Julia has been working with the land for over a decade. With a Bachelor’s in Environmental Studies from Naropa University in Boulder, CO and hailing from South Florida, Julia brings a wide knowledge of plants from around the country and enjoys sharing her gained experience around dune/wetland restoration, urban gardening, as well as display gardening. Julia currently works at the Chicago Botanic Garden.
