Professor Lawrence Sherman, Director of Cambridge Police Executive Programme and Director of Research Jerry Lee Centre for Experimental Criminology, .. Read more University of Cambridge (CONFIRMED). This session will provide attendees with the opportunity to discuss the main challenges they face in delivering integrated offender management and the added pressures of Covid-19. Allowing them to share their experiences and encourage cross sector collaboration. Covid-19 has put additional strain on offender management, causing concerns around longer prison sentences due to a lack of access to work or assessments that might allow for earlier release. However, the pressure from the pandemic is an opportunity to evaluate offender management holistically and look for best practice and innovative strategies to reduce reoffending, create safer communities as well as overcome the challenges presented by Covid-19. Join us at Offender Management: Providing a Whole System Approach to hear the latest policy updates and insights on ensuring that people serve out their sentences safely both in prison and in the community. This conference will also enable discussion on multi-agency working facilitating safe and meaningful offender management.
