Read more hour get together with other technicians provides an opportunity to share ideas, projects and good practice between other technicians in school and colleges across the country. Simon Quinnell CSci Teach, is the Curriculum Area Lead for the Science PGCE programme at the University of York. Simon started as a school science technician before gaining his PGCE and then worked as a teacher. In 2005 he left Tower Hamlets College to become a professional development leader at the National Science Learning Centre (STEM Learning). During his time at STEM Learning he was involved in many science education projects and designing and delivering  CPD experiences for science teachers and technicians from across the UK. He is very closely involved with science education organizations such as the ASE, RSC, IOP, SAPS and CLEAPSS.
