Join us to explore ways to minimise the severity of acute pain as well as the transition to persistent pain states. You'll hear from internationally renowned speakers on approaches to treat established chronic pain in survivors. Novel techniques will be described but you'll also be given a reflection of the limitations of pharmacology and the need to follow up with patients to treat psychological morbidity at an early stage. This webinar seeks to teach doctors about opioid sparing strategies for sedation and analgesia for trauma patients, especially in the post-operative period. Discussions will cover the recovery and rehabilitation phases to recognise how to minimise the burden of chronic pain and treat the psychological consequences of trauma.
