In the future, the Government wants to change how it utilizes CPARS past performance data, not just for source selections, but throughout all .. Read more acquisition lifecycle phases. The Government is seeking ways to be able to effectively search, find, analyze and rank contractor performance using CPARS, and to use that data to make informed decisions. Current Federal Government initiatives are underway to modernize the collection and use of CPARS performance data to achieve more reliable, relevant and actionable contractor performance-based data. More effective CPARS data output: Better access to, and use of, relevant and actionable CPARS performance data This panel will share perspectives on current initiatives underway, some involving industry partnerships, to improve the collection and use of CPARS past performance data. A recent report informed by current and former Federal leaders and experts in investment, budget, and acquisition policy identifies strategies for Federal agencies on how to incentivize private sector capital investment. This session will discuss options and recommendations for revising budget and acquisition processes that can enhance systematic engagement with industry around investment, and to encourage responsible longer-term capital planning by government. Learning Objectives: • Understand opportunities for new ways that government can access private sector investment • Identify budget and acquisition reforms that can help government make more effective use of capital for modernization.
