A water-budget model of Lake Decatur was developed, based on recent post-dredge lake volumes, hydrologic inputs, and lake withdrawals for water .. Read more supply. The model was used to evaluate the supply gap, defined as the difference between water available in Lake Decatur and the water demands during a drought. Alternative supply options were compared to the synthetic design drought supply gap to evaluate sustainable drought supplies. We will present an analysis of the City of Decatur’s water supply options and identify a path toward a future water supply portfolio that is reliable, resilient, and affordable. PRESENTER:  Al Wehrmann Al has over four decades of experience in conducting groundwater quantity and quality evaluations throughout Illinois. As the Head of the Illinois State Water Survey Groundwater Section, he managed the Section’s efforts in regional water supply planning for Northeast and East-Central Illinois.
