This free webinar is aimed at educators and provides detail relating to the research around reading and how Reading OUR Way helps students to develop .. Read more reading skills. It touches on the characteristics of Down syndrome which may affect a student’s ability to read, outlining how to use Reading OUR Way to improve reading. A breakdown of the order for teaching the program is also provided. This webinar offers sample lesson structure, suggestions for reading rotations and strategies to improve reading comprehension. Reading OUR Way is best utilised in an inclusive education setting as part of a whole reading program in literacy groups/rotations. People with Down syndrome want the same things as everyone else in the community – the best start in life, a good education, meaningful employment, somewhere to live and active participation in the life of the community around them.
