MOQC Regional Meeting

MOQC was launched in 2009 and is part of the Value Partnership Program of Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan (BCBSM). We are one of eighteen collaboratives that collect and share data (from hospitals or practices or both) to design and implement changes that improve outcomes of complex, technical areas of care. We work with community oncologists, nurses, pharmacists, abstractors, and patients and caregivers to select quality measures in oncology care, identifying ways to collect data from .. continue reading patient records, and analyzing data in a way that it is most meaningful for physicians and practices. Submitting this information to payers efficiently will decrease turnaround time for reimbursement. At MOQC, we have begun to evaluate how and what we offer and if the services we deliver provide the right value to our oncology physicians and clinical teams who work in today's high-production, potentially stressful environments. We are also engaging patients and caregivers to make sure the patient remains at the center of our quality improvement efforts.
