The SDGs Training is bringing the United Nations' SDGs to you virtually. Since 2017, the program mobilized 8,000+ students from 82 post-secondary .. Read more institutions at 50 trainings across Canada.What to expect:We will review the history of sustainable development, the structure of the SDGs (17 goals, 169 targets, 231 indicators), and examples of each of the 17 SDGs implemented by a variety of stakeholders.You will have a change to engage Shannon O'Shea, a UN staff member. This person will share how their agency or department underwent a transformation to implement the holistic SDGs in partnership with its communities.We will review examples of SDGs implementation by young people across Canada and around the world.In partnership with St. Thomas University's Experiential Learning Centre, this event is brought to you by St. Thomas University. Foundation for Environmental Stewardship (FES) is a youth-led, youth-serving sustainable development organization. Our mission is to create a more inclusive, equitable, and sustainable future by empowering youth. We envision every young person who will grow to make their personal and professional choices to reflect the human impact on the environment for a sustainable future.
