This engaging practical workshop introduces you to some idea generation techniques, to help realise, and focus on, potential opportunities in busy technical environments. Delegates will use a variety of techniques – including backcasting, working backwards from a project objective – and will then practise these techniques during the interactive breakout sessions with fellow attendees, so that they can see how it works in practical situations, enabling application when they need them. Being able to step back from the here and now, and spot opportunities is key within an organisation of any size. Honing and refining skills and techniques in this area, can lead to a distinct competitive advantage and structured approach to complex projects. This workshop is designed for anyone interested in gaining a new perspective on strategic thinking and spotting opportunities in a technical environment, whether they be in the pre-start up phase, in growth or within already more established organisations.
